Biden Calls On Congress To Intervene In Potential Rail Workers Strike - LeBron Goes After Media For Unbalanced Coverage of Jerry Jones | ITBP S6E36

In this, the last ITBP episode of the 2022, we go full throttle. We discuss how President Biden, Amtrak Joe, is stepping in to prohibit American Railway workers from going on strike, as they push railway owners to provide paid sick-leave. Why would a known friend of the Unions like Biden jump in to stop workers from fighting for their desired benefits? Also, LeBron James calls out the media for their unbalanced coverage of a recent photo of a 15yo Jerry Jones on the steps with a White mob keeping Black students from integrating into a Little Rock Arkansas high school. All of this emerged via the recent Washington Post Report covering NFL Ownership and lack of diversity in the coaching field. And how do you teach kids to be more mindful on the internet? A 16yo California girl’s family was murdered after VA Police Officer “catfished her and drove over 2000 miles to see her. We discuss all this. And much more.

Biden Intervenes In Rail Workers Strike

“With less than two weeks until a railroad strike deadline, President Biden called on Congress on Monday to impose a deal negotiated with help from his administration this year to avert a shutdown of the country’s freight railroads.

“I am calling on Congress to pass legislation immediately to adopt the Tentative Agreement between railroad workers and operators – without any modifications or delay – to avert a potentially crippling national rail shutdown,” Biden said in his statement on Monday evening.

That deal was recently voted down by four railroad unions representing most of the union members. The rail workers have said they are angry and frustrated that the deal lacked paid sick days or other substantial changes to an attendance policy that penalizes workers for taking time off while they are sick.

A rail strike could threaten the nation’s water supply, halt passenger rail travel and trigger major disruptions to the U.S. supply chain during the height of the holiday season, potentially worsening inflation. Already, some tech companies have begun rerouting cargo shipments from railroads to trucks in preparation for a potential shutdown, according to CNBC.

VA Cop Catfishes 16yo Teen And Murders Family

"Sextortion" drove an ex-Virginia trooper’s catfishing of a teenage girl and killing of her mother and grandparents in Southern California last week, police said Wednesday.

Police believe Austin Lee Edwards, 28, a former trooper with the Virginia State Police who was working for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, portrayed himself as a 17-year-old online to engage with the girl, who lived in Riverside, California, Riverside Police Chief Larry Gonzalez said at a news conference.

Edwards had traveled from Virginia to Riverside and was killed in a shootout with police.

“This is yet another horrific reminder of the predators existing online who prey on our children,” Gonzalez said.

LeBron James Goes At Media For Unbalanced Reporting

“Wednesday, LeBron James turned things around on the reporters in the room with a query of his own.

Why, James wanted to know, had he not been asked about a photograph that recently surfaced showing Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, at the age of 14, peering over a crowd of white students who were attempting to block six Black students from entering the doors of North Little Rock High School in 1957?

"I got one question for you guys before you guys leave. I was thinking when I was on my way over here, I was wondering why I haven't gotten a question from you guys about the Jerry Jones photo," James said. "But when the Kyrie [Irving] thing was going on, you guys were quick to ask us questions about that."

On Nov. 5, after the Brooklyn Nets announced a suspension for James' former teammate after Irving shared a link to a documentary containing antisemitic tropes on social media, James was asked why he believed so few players around the league had commented on Irving's post and subsequent comments.”
